January Blog Hop With Counterfeit Kits!

Hello Hello!Thank you so much for joining me today for the Counterfeit Kit Blog Hop! One of my very favorite challenge sites that I enjoy following is the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog! I was so inspired by this month’s kit I just had to play along! And while my original plan of completely killing my homemade kit was sidelined by some seriously rough sick days….I still plan on killing it…January is not over yet, right??

I was able to play along with the first challenge on the blog- which was to use a door on your layout..and I saved that layout to share with you today!

I used the prompt and some of the other “homey” elements in my kit to journal about how much of a “stay at home” type of person I am.

I really loved this kit I created! I put it all together on my scrap desk to use till it is gone…so I’m sure there will be more in the coming weeks!

Fab Friday With Spiegelmom Scraps!

Hello Hello!

I have a bit of a different project for you today..a set of cards. This idea came to me because I had this cactus paper (so random!) that I didn’t want to go to waste and I wanted to play with the new Shimmerz Paste-eez in the SMS shop without experimenting on a large layout..so, though I…CARDS!

I went to my trusty friend, Pinterest, searched “cactus quotes” and found 3 I thought would make a couple cute cards….

I used Salt of The Earth Paste-eez to create 2 polka dot backgrounds for 2 of my cards..

This mixed media paste was very easy to spread through a stencil and use. It is more transluscent then I imagined it to be but I think that would make it perfect to color with a spray or ink…will definitely be playing with it more in the future.

A couple other new items from the Spiegelmom Scraps shop also make there debut on these cards.. The I Cork U cork heart set..which are large and fun and lovely and another of my new favorites Morning Dew Drop sequins.

I added just a little splatter of Night Moves and my cards are complete!

Digital Stamp Fun With Jess Crafts Digitals!

Hello Hello! I have a new card to share with you today using the Playful Penquin Coffee Cup digital stamp- one of the cutest in the shop if you ask me……

Here is my card I created using this stamp-

I can’t even stand the cuteness!! I have to mention here- I am not your typical digi stamp user…at least I don’t think so…I love patterned paper too much, it is my absolute medium of choice for everything! So I like to use digi stamps like paper piecing patterns quite often and even if I color one or two elements…there will always be a little patterned paper somewhere… and in this case, a little hand-stitching!

I love to hand-stitch, whenever I have enough time and a lovely TV show to binge watch while I do it…I think I was watching The Crown on Netflix for this project…but please, no spoilers, I didn’t finish it….

Digital Stamp Love With Jess Craft Stamps!

Good Morning! Today is going to be a busy day with LOTS of fun things and blog posts ….so stay tuned! First up, I am so excited to be joining the Jess Crafts Stamps Design Team. I have posted projects and videos using her stamps before so you know how much I love them! They satisfy my need for cute on some of my projects…because with two older boys you don’t get a lot of opportunities for cute scrapbook projects!

My first project uses the BRAND NEW Elated Elephant stamp set (if you watch the video, I wasn’t sure of the official name for these cutie patooties but there it is- Elated Elephants!)

Good Afternoon! Did you miss me??…One or two Fridays in the coming months there will be two blog posts in one day..fun, right? Sooo…remember that little boy from the morning’s project,such a sweet baby he was..16 years ago! Now of course, is a whole other story. He is a full blown teenager! So instead of being cute and sweet and perfect for scrapping with elephants, I like to make it more current pages grungier!

And that brings us to my layout today for Fab Friday!

I am going to submit this layout to Hannah’s challenge on the 15 Minutes To Scrap FB Group. There is a new challenge there every month sponsered by Spiegelmom Scraps. This month, Hannah is challenging us with a mood board and adding texture to our layouts. I think the Textures I added to my background adds that texture, plus some grunginess!
