If you’re just joining me here on my blog, be sure to check out the line up and all the other goodies over at the SpiegelMom Scraps blog HERE

I am so, so, excited for this blog hop because it means I get to tell you that I am going to be part of the Spiegelmom Scraps Design Team this term!! woohoo!

I will be designing for the You Tube Squad- which means, starting August 5 th you will be getting a new process video from me every  week, and a blog post describing that project weekly too…AND..I will also be posting one new project a month just to Instagram! So be sure to follow Spiegelmom Scraps on Instagram as well so you don’t miss any of the inspiration!

For the Scrap It Off blog hop I chose to create an 81/2 X 11 layout about my son’s varied love of art over the years.

I chose an Echo Park cut file from the Silhouette store, removed some of the elements (a paintbrush and a saying) and then cut the paint palette and a shadow to layer behind. I colored in 3 of the paint areas with watercolor and then covered them with Hot Right Now sequins, which I sorted into three colors. In the leftover spaces I added Coral Me Crazy , Sea U In The Mornin, and Lemon Drop Dazzlerz.DSC_3614-001

I finished off my layout with products from Claudia Van R’s line Hot Right Now and some Echo Park’s Creative Agenda line from my stash.

I also have a process video showing how everything came together-

Enjoy the rest of the hop! And be sure to stop by every Friday starting in August for a new project and video using Spiegelmom Scraps products!

Clique Kits Pep Rally!!!

IMG_1017

Hello scrappy friends! It’s that time of the month again whee we show off the projects we have been making with our Raskog kits and we get to see more of the gorgeous kits for August – Rio! They look amazing!!

I loved playing with the Raskog kit! It was perfect to tell some great stories about my boys.I always start creating with my kit each month by opening all the packages, cutting the cut apart sheets, and choosing photos!

I chose some summer stories to document this month! I chose photos for 6 pages and got 2 done….but there are still 11 days left in this month and I have lots of scrappy time coming the end of this month, so keep a look out on the Clique FB group for the rest of my layouts!

The first page I created talks about my boys favorite game to play this summer…and,no, it’s not Pokemon Go! ( they don’t even know what a Pokemon is!)

The second layout I created tells a pretty funny story about my oldest son in April when he started shaving…I took the journaling directly from my planner where I had written it down..so the journaling is exactly what I was thinking at the time and this story…which 4 months later, my husband and I still enjoy telling..is a pretty good one! DSC_3640-001

I hope you have enjoyed these 2 layouts and be sure to join our Facebook group, The Clique, to see the rest of my layouts this month! We have lots of fun there. And be sure to check out RIO! It looks gorgeous! I can’t wait to play with it..by the colors, I’m thinking pool and lake photos…hmmmm……

Friday Round- Up

My poor lonely blog..I really don’t give it the love it deserves. I have a really hard time coming with good blogging subjects…so if you have any ideas..please pass them along!

Starting next month, there will be some regular posting days and a few new things coming, so keep your eyes open for those…but until then…I thought today I would share with you just a few fun projects I’ve done over the last week or so and then I’ll be back on Wed. the 20th for the Clique Kits Pep Rally..and then on Saturday, a super fun announcement…:)

The first project I thought I would share with you is this pocket page spread-DSC_3546-003

I do my own thing when it comes to PL…okay..I do my own thing when it comes to most things scrappy-related. I create 3-5 albums per year- a Stories album ( this usually ends up being 3), a Travel album, and an Events album. My Stories album is in chronological order and each month begins with a double-sided pocket page telling the smaller stories for the month. This is the pocket page for  June 2015. I used products from Pretty Little Studios and I think it turned out lovely. I also used these adorable Sticko puffy stickers a friend sent me in a RAK and they are so cute! I love how puffy stickers “pucker” when you staple  them.

My next layout is photos of our camping trip last year and I used a sketch by Kristine Davidson for 2 of my favorite You Tube girls to watch- oh snap gonzo and Erica Thompson. They are hosting some You Tube challenges throughout July and I decided to play along with their sketch-

My last layout I thought I would share is also from the same camping trip-

And this one comes with a process video you can watch here-

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I will see you back here on Wednesday, July 20th!

Fun With Digital Stamps..

A long time ago…..I LOVED digital stamps! I had bunches of them saved on my laptop and I used them often…they were great! But then new things appeared in my scrappy world…Cricuts, Silhouettes, and pretty photo-polymer stamps, oh my!  And,sadly, I stopped using my digital stamps. In fact, when I transferred to a new laptop, I didn’t take my digital stamps with me….

Fast forward to 2016, when I started following a lovely designer on Facebook named Karla Yungwirth..who created the CUTEST cards and Project Life pages. She introduced me to Pretty Cute Stamps and my love affair with digital stamps was rekindled..because these digital stamps are absolutely adorable!!!

I mean…look at this seahorse!!!

DSC_3532-001

I sized and printed my image on some heavyweight cardstock and colored away, using my Prismacolor colored pencils and a little Gamisol to blend (my favorite way to color- I know Coptics are everyone’s favorites…but they are not mine! ) I also want to try printing a full page of images on watercolor paper and watercoloring them….it’s on my to-do list…. I am linking it up to their summer challenge…and here is a link to the store…Pretty Cute Stamps  I also used a card sketch from Paper Issues for my card and the last little bits of my June Clique Kit!

If you have never tried digital stamps..or if, like me, you have in the past but haven’t in a while..I suggest getting out your coloring medium of choice and create something lovely!
