13507258_611200912378161_7699569134378287136_nHello and welcome to my blog! I hope you are enjoying the hop so far!Be sure to leave comments along the way for a chance to win one of these fabulous kits!

In case you get lost, here is the line-up-

I was inspired to make a layout about ice cream! The colors in this kit were so soft and creamy I thought an ice cream layout would be perfect!
I chose to document the fact that we had a very warm start to our winter..so warm, in fact, we could eat ice cream outside in the sunshine in December! I live in Pa., which means snow and bitter temps. in December…but not this past year!
I created my own ice cream embellishment for this layout and it turned out so yummy looking I almost want to lick it…almost…….

And here is a close-up of my ice cream cone…

Thanks for stopping by! And enjoy the rest of the hop…next up is Audrey Yeager . She makes some of the coolest layouts and I’m sure she has some lovely things to share!

Layout Share…and thoughts on wood veneer…

Good Evening!
I hope you weekend has gone well. I thought I would pop in and share a new layout and video using some wonderful wood veneer in the Spiegelmom Scraps store. The wood veneer is on sale for $2 a pkg. and it is so much fun to play  with! I used almost an entire package on my layout!

I pieced together the veneer almost like puzzle pieces and altered them a bit with some acrylic paint to soften in and then added some watered down color too! I think wood veneer is a really fun addition to a layout. It adds some different texture to both layouts and cards.

I finished it off by creating some hand stamped embellishments. You can find all the products I used as well as a short little video showing my process here-

Have a wonderful week and I will be back on Wednesday for the Clique Kits blog share!!

Card Candy…YUM!

Hello everyone!

Well…my sister had a beautiful wedding, my boys both finished, and passed, school, and I’ve spent the last week cleaning, organizing, and getting my house whipped into shape…so it is definitely time to create and enjoy the summer for the rest of the week!

I belong to a lovely online swapping group called Project Life Card Swaps. Every month they host a slew of different swaps you can participate in. I don’t swap every month, but when I see one that gets my creative juices flowing, I will join in. And it is nice when creating a pocket page or card to have a little handmade card all ready to go. I’ve even done a planner clip swap over there which was awesome!

This month one of the swaps was to create Alice In Wonderland card candy! My absolute favorite  Disney movie of all time is Alice In Wonderland (with Meet The Robinson’s being a very close #2). So when I saw this swap, I knew I wanted to make some card candy…which, are cute little homemade embellishments that you can add to cards or PL cards or scrapbook pages  (search them on Pinterest- so many cute ideas there!). I went shopping on Etsy for some cute little stickers, metal Cheshire cats (EEEEKKK!), and some printable tea pots..grabbed some sequins from Spiegelmom Scraps, some twine, and Heidi Swapp Color Shine and off I went…

I had so, so much fun putting these together and I hope you like them too!

After they were all packaged up and ready to ship, I took the extra set I had made myself and created a card-

So cute! Even if my Color Shine got away from me just a touch…………the inside sentiment will say “Your Tea-rrific!”

Have A Lovely Day!
